Björn’s career in the creative industries started in 2004. Still in the middle of his study for Visual Communications at Bauhaus University in Weimar he won Germany’s first competition to take part at the Cannes Young Lions Competition. Since then his hunger for great ideas has never been stilled. Regardless of categories, channels, old or new media he is always striving for the greatest solutions to communication problems of all kinds.
He worked at Jung von Matt/Alster, DDB Berlin, Scholz & Friends Berlin and since 2015 as an Integrated Creative Director he is responsible especially for the digital development at Ogilvy & Mather Berlin. Over the years he could work with clients as Coca-Cola, Amnesty International, Volkswagen, Fisherman’s Friend, Otto Bock, Ikea and many more. Till now Björn’s work won 285 national and international awards. Among them 12 Cannes Lions, 1 Yellow Pencil at D&AD, 1 Grand Prix at ADC Europe and 1 Grand Prix at the Red Dot Design Award.
Besides his work in the agency he is a member of the German Art Director’s Club, he helps start-ups to solve their communication problems andas a lecturer at different universities he also has started to pass his knowledge to the next generation of creatives very successfully. One of his students even won the title ADC Europe Student of the Year in 2012.
